You can use a food processor, but its quicker and easier doing it by hand😊
175g plain flour
75g chilled butter cut into cubes
25g icing sugar
Zest of 1 orange
1 beaten egg
1 jar sweet mince
Preheat oven to 200°C
In a large bowl add the flour and butter, rub in using your fingertips until it looks like breadcrumbs.
Add the icing sugar, zest and mix again.
Add the egg and using your hands bring it together to form a ball of dough.
Place in wax paper and leave in fridge to rest for 15 to 30 minutes.
Sprinkle a little icing sugar onto a clean surface and roll out the pastry.
Using a cutter that is a bigger size than the tray mould, cut out the circles for the base and place them in the tray.
Re-roll the pastry left and cut out stars for the top.
Use 1 tsp of the sweet mince and fill each one. Do not overfill as it will leak out and look messy.
Place one star on each one
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes and leave to cool.
Sprinkle with icing sugar.
